So I sold my soul to this fic contest. Now I need to decide what ships to stick in it.

We picked up a trio of kittens to foster a few weeks ago (they have to be fostered until they're two months and two pounds). They were just under five weeks: a tortie girl, a tabby girl, and a black boy. The black one was the affectionate one, and always wanted to sit someone's lap or lie on someone's back. The tabby was the explorer, and was always the first to hop a baby gate or get up on a couch. The tortie was the shy one, but once she felt comfortable, she'd sit curled up next to someone for hours. I loved reading with them lying on top of me (all three of them on my back or stomach), and felt especially glad that the tortie stopped being s skittish around me.
But one of them peed on the carpet and on the couch and pooped on the floor, so my mom took them back to the Humane Society.
I'm really sad.
