1. This is pretty much how it went last year that I recall. If you go back, I spent three weeks hounding people to fill them and even then only half of them got done. It's not that you've made it suck, it's that people are really slack and I haven't hounded them yet because I just haven't.
2. I haven't commented to that because I've been in my readings for my honours paper. I'm interested! I just. assumed you knew. failure on me.
